Holdings
He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief in demesne or service. William Westneys, knight , and Alice his wife who is daughter of Walter Hewet , were lately seised in demesne as of fee tail of the manor of
Eastham, annual value 20 marks, with advowson of the church pertaining to the manor,
by gift of William More, rector of Eastham , Robert, servant of John Cbdon , and Walter Waldeford, clerk , to them and to the heirs of their bodies, to hold of the chief lords of that fee by due service in perpetuity. William and Alice had issue: Joan. They died and Joan was seised of the above in demesne as of fee tail as daughter and heir of William and Alice. She married John Cornewaille, knight , and they had issue: Elizabeth. They died and Elizabeth was seised as above. She married William Lychefeld, knight , and they were so seised in right of Elizabeth. They had issue: Elizabeth. Elizabeth wife of William died, and William, still living, was seised of the manor with advowson by curtesy. Right of reversion descended to Elizabeth daughter of William and Elizabeth. Elizabeth married Roger Corbet . They had issue: Margaret. Roger and Elizabeth died and right of reversion descended to Margaret, still living and a minor. William granted a messuage and acre of land in Eastham, parcel of the manor, formerly held by Richard Curteys at William’s will, to Margaret and her heirs, to hold of the chief lords of that fee by due service in perpetuity. The grant was made by charter, dated 6 November 1430 and shown to the jurors. He also granted a messuage and adjacent close called ‘Rakclose’ in Eastham, parcel of the manor, to William Koyne and to his heirs and assigns, to hold of the chief lords of that fee by due service in perpetuity. The grant was made on 24 February 1431 and to the disherison of Margaret. She entered the messuage and close as daughter and heir of Elizabeth wife of Roger, and was thus seised by hereditary descent.
The manor of Eastham with advowson is held of Richard, earl of Warwick , by knight service
; and wardship of the body of Margaret with her marriage, as well as of the two messuages, land, and close, thus pertain to the earl. He granted the wardship to John Wode by his letters patent dated 1 March 1431. They were shown to the jurors.

Roger died on 15 July last. Margaret, his daughter and next heir, is aged 3 and more.
