WILLIAM SON OF WILLIAM SKIPWYTH OF HABROUGH

Regarding his inheritance as son of William who held of ‪ Henry IV in chief. The lands and tenements are now in the custody of John Legburn by demise of Thomas of Lancaster, son of ‪ Henry IV , to whom that king gave custody. Inform John Legburn of the forthcoming proof of age.

John Trypoke of Habrough, 62 and more, swears that William was aged 21 and more on 6 November last, born at Habrough, and baptised in the church of St Margaret there. He was retained as a rent-collector by William Skipwyth the father and on 6 November last, twenty-one years had passed since he was retained. Walter Brewry , 44 and more, espoused Isabel daughter of John Mome . John Grysby , 50 and more, purchased 2 a. meadow in Habrough from John Lytester . John Spillesby , 55 and more, says that Robert son of Benet Thory espoused Margaret his daughter. John Trynynge , 49 and more, took to farm for life a messuage with a bovate in Habrough from William Skipwyth . John Roberdson , 59 and more, says that William Mason raised hue on Richard Munkes who had assaulted him that same day, and he there arrested Richard. John Matyns , 52 and more, started his ride to the Roman court. He was on pilgrimage with William Gaskeryke . William Couper , 46 and more, says that John Nores betrothed Eleanor daughter of Thomas Parsons in Habrough churchyard, in the presence of the abbot of Newsham . John Leke , 47 and more, says that Robert Malynson of Great or Little Limber (Lymbergh) was buried at Thornton Abbey. John Stasy , 48 and more, bought 2 a. woodland in Skendleby wood from the prioress of Cotham , at 40s. an acre. John Williamson , 44 and more, was elected constable in Habrough. John Smyth , 52 and more, says that Elizabeth Skipwyth was elected prioress of Cotham .
