He held the following for life by demise of Richard de Veer, late earl of Oxford , father of John de Veer , heir and present earl, with reversion to John de Veer and his heirs.
Earl’s Colne, 3 tenements within the vill and demesne, called ‘Heyland’, ‘Jonesadam’, and ‘Adam Smythes’, each worth 40d. yearly, sum 10s. The tenements are not held of the king but of whom they are held and by what service is unknown.

He died on 12 January 1425. John Eston is his brother and next heir, and aged 29 and more.

The duke of Exeter took the issues from 12 January 1425 until 31 December 1426, and John, duke of Bedford , has since taken them by virtue of letters patent.
