He died seised of
11 messuages, 11 tofts and 21 bovates and 7 a. land in Southburn
in his demesne as of fee tail, to himself and the heirs of his body, by grant of Robert de Thweng ’ to his ancestor John de Thweng ’ and the heirs of his body.
The messuages, toft and land are held of the king in chief by service of 1/8 knight’s fee, annual value 10 marks at Pentecost and Martinmas in equal portions.
He similarly died seised of the following in his demesne as of fee.
Cornbrough, the manor, except 4 messuages and 10 bovates which he granted long before his death and by his charter shown to the jurors, to William de Thweng ’ his son and Joan, William’s wife, and the heirs of their bodies. The manor, less this exception, is worth 5 marks yearly and is held of Joan countess of Westmorland of her castle of Sheriff Hutton, services unknown.
Sutton on the Forest, a close called ‘le Intak’ beside Bulford mill (mylne), worth 12d. yearly and held of the same countess of her manor of Sutton on the Forest by service of paying her 6s. 8d. yearly.

He died on 28 December last. William de Thweng ’ is his son and next heir of his body, aged 30 years and more.
