Holdings
Roger Lestraunge, late lord of Knockin , was seised of the manor of in his demesne as of fee, and had issue John Lestraunge , his elder son, and Roger Lestraunge , his younger son named in the writ sewn to this inquisition. He granted the manor to Roger for life, reversion to Roger the father in perpetuity, as is clear fully in his indented deed and letters patent of ‪ Edward III , as royal licence, shown to the jurors [CPR 1374–7, p.426]. Roger was seised for life as of free tenement. Roger the father died and the right and reversion of the manor then descended to John Lestraunge , as his son and heir; he had issue Richard Lestraunge , his son and heir, to whom the right and reversion descended after his death.
The manor is held of the king in chief by fealty and service of 3s. In the manor there are the site with an old barn and a... house [ms soiled] called ‘Oxhous’, worth nothing yearly; £17 5s. 2 1/4d. assize rents at Christmas, Easter, Midsummer and Michaelmas in equal portions; 197 a. demesne land, each acre worth 6d. yearly; 3 a. meadow, each acre worth 7d. yearly; 200 a. wood, worth nothing yearly because it has not been completely felled for a long time now; a court of view of frankpledge held twice a year, worth 10s. yearly; and a court baron held every three weeks, worth 13s. 4d. yearly. Annual value of the manor £23 8s. 9 1/4d.

He died on 6 March last, seised of this manor in his estate for life as above. After his death the manor reverted and should revert to Richard Lestraunge as kinsman and heir of Roger Lestraunge , the father, being the son of John Lestraunge , son and heir of Roger Lestraunge , the father. Richard Lestraunge is also his kinsman and heir since he died without heir of his body, and Richard is aged 30 years and more.
