n583_001^: The writ is dated 3 Henry VI and the IPM 4 Henry VI. If these dates are correct then a period of 14 months elapsed between the issue of the writ and the holding of the inquisition, which is unlikely. Further, if the regnal year of the IPM is correct then the escheator William Fauconer held it after William Fyndern had replaced him as escheator on 24 January 1426. Amending the regnal year of the IPM to 3 Henry VI gives a more plausible IPM date of 1 May 1425 and the date of death as 4 June 1424.
