Refers to CIPM XIX, no. 236. Inquire as to the right by which she held for life in demesne in Bentworth manors called `le Halle'and `le Mulle', a carucate, 4 a. meadow and 4 a. wood in Bramshill, 1/2 carucate at `le Bere', a messuage and 1/2 carucate in Greatham and a toft and 1/2 virgate in Froyle of the inheritance of Richard de Wyndesore son and heir of Brian.

She held them by grant of John, rector of Bentworth , and John Elcombe to her and Brian. They were seised and had issue Richard named in the writ. Alice survived and held for life of the inheritance of Brian's son and heir Richard.
