He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief or of another but was formerly seised in his demesne as of fee of the manor of Laindon and other lands called `Amys' in Dunton, Bulphan, East Horndon, West Horndon, Laindon, Basildon and Ramsden Crays and long before he died granted them to William Kynwolmerssh, clerk , Lewis Johan , John Tirell , John Cornewaleys , esquires, and Richard Kirkeby , who remain seised. The manor of Laindon is held of the honor of Rayleigh by knight service, annual value £10; `Amys' is held of the countess of Stafford of her manor of Fobbing, service unknown, annual value £10.

He died on 27 March last. John, earl of Oxford , a minor in the king's wardship, is his kinsman and next heir, i.e. son of Richard brother of John named in the writ, aged 15 years and more.

He was formerly seised in his demesne as of fee of the manors of Dullingham called Beauchamps Hall and Poyntz Hall and of lands called Chalers and `Baas' in Dullingham and by charter of 26 May 1417, shown to the jurors, granted them to William Kynwalmerssh, clerk , Lewis John , John Tyrell , John Cornewaleys , esquires, and Thomas Neweport, clerk , who remain seised. The manor called Beauchamps Hall is held of William de la Pole, earl of Suffolk , as of the fee of Hardwin de Scalariis for 1 knight's fee, annual value £10. There are in the manor 400 a. arable worth yearly 1 3/4d. an acre, 9 a. meadow worth yearly 8d. an acre, 360 a. wood, annual value nil except when the underwood is cut, when it is worth 16d.an acre; 10 a. pasture worth yearly 2 3/4d. an acre and 1/2d. more and 10 marks assize rents from various tenants at Easter and Michaelmas in equal portions. The manor called Poyntz Hall and the lands called Chalers and `Baas' are held of the same earl of the same fee for 1 knight's fee, annual value £7 18s. There are in the manor 100 a. arable worth [yearly] 9d. an acre, 3 a. meadow worth yearly 12d. an acre, 3 a. wood, annual value 20d., and 15s. assize rents from various tenants at the same terms in equal portions. There are in Chalers 60 a. arable, annual value 6d., 2 a. meadow worth yearly 20d. an acre, 2 a. wood worth yearly 10d. an acre, and 5s. assize rents from various tenants at the same terms in equal portions. There are in `Baas' 80 a. arable worth yearly 2 3/4d. an acre and 3 a. wood, annual value 6 1/2d. and 1/2d. more.
