He was seised in his demesne as of fee of the manor of Hutton in the Forest in which there are 80 a. arable worth yearly ?24d. an acre, 13 a. meadow worth yearly 2s. an acre and the site of the manor, annual value 20s. The manor is held of the king in chief by homage, fealty and service of rendering 40s. yearly at the Exchequer at Carlisle, annual value £4 19s. 4d. He was also seised in his demesne as of fee of the office of king's forester of Plumpton in the forest of Inglewood, with fee and gage belonging, annual value of the office 33s. 4d. He was also seised of the advowson of a chantry in Hutton in the Forest belonging to the manor there and full by his presentation, annual value 100s. He was also seised in his demesne as of fee of a purpresture in Penrith held of Ralph, earl of Westmorland , of the manor of Penrith for 6d. yearly, annual value nil because wasted.
He died on 25 Jan. last. Robert de Hoton is his son and next heir, aged 30 years and more.
