He held of the king in chief in his demesne as of fee by knight service in right of his wife Joan, deceased, lands and tenements in Magor in the march of Wales, annual value 6s. 8d. Also in right of Joan he held by knight service of John, Earl Marshal , the manors of Penhow and Portskewett in the march in the lordship of Chepstow, annual value 10 marks, and of Edmund, earl of March , service unknown, the manor of Whitson and lands and tenements in Preston, Traston, and Redcastle in the march in the lordship of Caerleon, annual value 10 marks.
He died on 12 Aug. 1420. Ralph Bowelers is his son and next heir, aged 14 years and more.
