He held of the king in chief by knight service 1/2 knight's fee in Whixley and Garrowby which Thomas Bank and Haubatheus Mauleverer , knight, held, annual value £10. He also died seised in his demesne as of fee of a plot of land several throughout the year in Scorborough adjoining his manor there and crossed by the road from Scorborough to `Eliotbryg' on the south. The plot, annual value 3s. 4d., extends in width from the dike called `Eliotdyk' to `Wodforlandsyk' on the west, excepting the breadth of the road from Scorborough south to 'Eliotbryg' as it runs between the two dikes to the south, and in length from `Wodforlandsyk' to `Flashewell' on the south, and is held of Henry, earl of Northumberland , service unknown.
He died on 3 Oct. 1419. John Hothom is his son and next heir, aged 8 years and more.
