Hugh Humberston, formerly parson of East Carlton , and Richard Overton, formerly vicar of Easton [?Easton Neston] by a fine of [Easter three weeks] 1364 [and afterwards mor. Purification 1365] [CP 25/1/178/83, no. 563] granted the manor of Harpole, 18 a. wood in Harpole and the advowson of the church to Nicholas Crophill, knight , for life with remainder to Simon Warde , Simon's wife Elizabeth and their heirs male. Simon and Elizabeth died without male issue and the manor, 8 a. and the advowson descended to Simon's daughter Maud and her heirs male. Robert Thame was Maud's son and heir and held the manor, 8 a. and advowson by virtue of the fine. Robert, who also died without male issue, held them of the king of the honor of Peverel by service of doing suit yearly at the two great courts of the honor. Annual value of the manor and 8 a., 10 marks.
He died on 13 April last. Thomas Thame is his brother and next heir, aged 30 years and more.
