He was seised in demesne as of fee in the manor of Horndon on the Hill, held of the king in chief by knight service. Annual value of the site of the manor nil. There are in the manor 200 a. arable worth 10 marks, 20 a. meadow worth 40s., 40 a. pasture worth 40s. and 40s. assize rents from various tenements in the townships of Horndon on the Hill, Langdon Hills, Dunton and Orsett. There is a market each Saturday at Horndon on the Hill, annual value 40s. During his lifetime Thomas assigned as dower to Alice widow of Thomas Malegrave , father of Thomas named in the writ, 10 marks annual rent for life from the manor.
He died on 19 Nov. last. Richard Malegrave is his son and next heir, aged 7 years and more.
