He held the manor of Rochester with the hamlet of Ouston in fee tail by virtue of a grant from Nicholas Kellow and John Shakloke, chaplain , to Robert Rouchestre , deceased, father of Robert named in the writ, in tail general. The manor is held of the barony of Prudhoe for 1/2 knight's fee, annual value 6 marks, and the hamlet is held of the barony of Balliol for 1/4 knight's fee, annual value 40s.

Robert the son died on 12 Nov. 1419. Margaret wife of William de Rotherford is his sister and next heir, aged 33 years and more.
