The escheator of Sussex ordered to assign dower from the lands, held by knight service from John, son and heir of Philip Seyntclere, knight , a king’s ward, which were taken into the king’s hand owing to the death of her former husband Nicholas Selwyne and the minority of his heir. Assignment to be in the presence of the next friends of her former husband's heir. [CCR 1419–22, p.97.]
