He claims to have been born and baptized at Threlkeld. Roland Thornburgh, to whom his lands were granted by Henry IV, should be warned.

Inquisition Head

Cumberland. Proof of age [indented]. Penrith. 28 Oct. [Bealieu].

Thomas de Lancastre , 40 years, Thomas de Carleton , 44 years, John Forster , 49 years, and William del Chapell , 56 years, say that Henry Threlkeld was aged 21 years and more at Michaelmas last. They know this because he was born at Threlkeld on that feast and they were present when he was baptized on the same day in the parish church. Thomas Cardew , 60 years, William Threlkeld , 60 years, William Thoresby , 60 years, and John Arnaldson , 55 years, say that Henry was aged 21 years and more on that feast because they were present in the church at the marriage of Joan, daughter of John de Wylton , and John de Wodde and saw Henry baptized there. John de Hoton , 42 years, John Arnaldson, junior , 48 years, William Withebotle , 60 years, and William Cottesford , 46 years, say that Henry was aged 21 years and more on that feast because they were riding along the high road between Greystoke castle and Threlkeld church on the day of Henry's baptism and met various men and women carrying him to the church to be baptized. The jurors are unanimous that Henry Threlkeld is aged 21 years and more.
