He took £10 from the farm of the city of Canterbury
, being 1/3 of £30 from the bailiffs of the city, 1/3 at Easter and 2/3 at Michaelmas, which £30 Edward III granted in recompense for the bailiwick of the town of Sandwich by his letters patent, shown to the jurors, to William son of John Cundy, uncle of Thomas Whetynden, whose kinsman and co-heir he was, as, son of Alice, one of the sisters of William Cundy.

He died on 23 April last. His grandson Thomas Whetynden son of Thomas Whetynden son of the said Thomas Whetynden is his kinsman and next heir, aged 10 years and more.
