Holdings

She held no lands of the heir of Thomas late Lord Despenser, who is a minor in the king's ward; but she held in her demesne as of fee the manor of Besford of Richard, earl of Warwick, by knight service except for 30s. rent from the manor held by Joan wife of William Clopton, knight , her sister. It was her part of the inheritance of their father Alexander Besford , annual value £10.
After the death of John Dicleston she married Thomas de la Hay , and they had a daughter, Eleanor.

Margaret died on 24 Aug. 1412. Eleanor died, and Thomas de la Hay entered and occupied the manor except for the rent, as tenant by the courtesy of England, and still holds it. Elizabeth, Maud and Margery, daughters of Margaret, aged 15 years and more, 12 and more and 11 and more, are sisters and next heirs of Thomas [Dicleston, her son].

It was held jointly with John Dicleston to them and her heirs by the grant of Robert Whytyngton and Thomas Thurkell, formerly parson of Alderton. They are held of Richard de Beauchamp, Lord Abergavenny , and his wife Isabel, in right of Isabel, sister and heir of Richard, son and heir of Thomas late Lord le Despenser, by knight service, annual values,

the manor, rents, etc., 21 marks,
advowson of Alderton £10.

Date of death as in 34. Thomas Dycleston was son and heir of Margaret and John. He was aged 9 years and more at her death.
Since her death Edward, duke of York , whilst he lived and Peter Mauvan and John London, clerk , his executors, have held by the grant of ‪Henry IV for keeping the lands of Lord Despenser [17 May 1403: CPR 1401-5, p. 235]. They still hold.
