16A Writ de dote assignanda. 24 January 1419. [Wymbyssh] Teste John, duke of Bedford.

The escheator of Surrey ordered to take her oath not to marry without royal licence and then to assign dower from the lands taken into the king’s hands owing to the death of her husband William Englyssh, esquire. Assignment to be in the presence of Richard Englyssh, his son and heir. [CCR 1413–19, p.493.]
