Holdings
By a fine of 1385 [CP/25/1/200/30, no. 64] between Philippa, then wife of Robert Aissheton, knight , and Thomas Hawkyn , on one side, and John Langerych , Maud his wife, one sister and heir of Hugh Lorty , and John Ganter and Elizabeth his wife, the other sister, on the other, the manor of Pitney was granted to Philippa and Thomas with the hundred and the advowson for the term of her life, with the remainder to John and Maud, John and Elizabeth and the heirs of Maud and Elizabeth. Philippa held, John and John died. Maud died without heirs of her body. Philippa died seised of her above estate. The reversion of one moiety descended to Elizabeth as sister and heir of Philippa, and the other moiety pertains to her by virtue of the fine. They are held of the king in chief, annual value £11.
Philippa died on 2 May last. Elizabeth now wife of John Andrewe is next heir of Maud, aged 40 years and more.
Whether she held more is unknown.

By a fine of 1416 [CP 25/1/291/63, no. 41] between Richard lord Grey of Codnor , now deceased, John son of Reynold Grey of Ruthin, knight , Walter Hungerford, knight , Thomas de Clynton, knight , now deceased, William Mountfort, esquire , John Ingepenne , Roger Hunte and John Warde , against John Tiptot and Philippa his wife, def. the manors of Woodham Mortimer and Howbridge, amongst others, were recognised as the right of John Warde and quitclaimed to John Grey and the others, and the heirs of John Warde . Both are held of the earl of March , services unknown, annual values, Woodham Mortimer 40s., Howbridge, £10.
Philippa died on 4 May last. Eleanor wife of Walter Lucy, knight , aged 30 years and more, Elizabeth and Joan, daughters of Philippa widow of Hugh Courteneye, knight , 5 and 4 years and more, and Margery wife of Thomas de Arundell , 20 and more, are her heirs.
