Addressed to the mayor and escheator of the city of York; regarding lands held of Henry IV.

Holdings

He held for life 1 messuage with garden on Bishophill, York, of the king in free burgage with reversion to John son and heir of Miles de Stapilton, a minor in the king’s ward, and his heirs male. He died on 20 June 1408.

Then Brian de Stapilton and Robert Conyers of York, yeoman, entered and held it, title unknown, and took the profits until Brian died on 20 Sept. last. Robert still holds.

John Holme of Holderness is his kinsman and heir, being the son of Margaret his sister, aged 40 years and more.
