The jurors say that Thomas Duffeld was born in York and baptised in St. Saviour’s church on 1 Aug 1392 and is now therefore aged 21 years and more.

William Scoreburgh , aged 51 years, knows this because he held a lighted taper during the baptism, and afterwards carried the basin and ewer to Richard Duffeld ’s house and Richard gave him an annual rent of 20s. for the term of his life from his lands and tenements in the city, and he has since received £21 12s. of that rent, for 21 and a half years.

Richard Cleseby , aged 50 and more, Robert Wyskowe , aged 51, and Thomas Woderby , aged 6.. and more, ....in a tavern called ‘the belle on the hope’ ... drink wine....servant of Richard Duffeld told them of the baptism ... they saw how he was baptized ... to the tavern. ... by date of a certain indenture made between them

Walter Luket , aged 6.., and John Dalton , aged 50, were in the church at the time of the baptism, and afterwards returning to their homes, ....of false papal bulls called Colet Morford, placed in the pillory (collistrigio) of the city for his great falsehood .... passed since Colet was in the pillory.

Richard Marsshall , [? Roger ?Burton ] ..... ?each aged 55 and more, ..... demised at farm to the said Richard Marsshall, Roger ?Burton, ... for the term of 24 years, .... of which term 21 and a half years have elapsed and 2 ½ remain.

...., William Stokkay , aged ?54 and more, John Whitgyft aged 60, and John Fysshlake , aged ?58 .... were in the church....afterward Gilbert atte N.... by charter feoffed them in all his lands ....gdon by York .... by date of the charter.
