Holdings

He held two parts of the manor of Newland Hall in Writtle, annual value 46s.8d., in his demesne as of fee, except for 12 a., annual value 6s., which long before his death he granted to Walter Newelonde , one of his sons, for life, with reversion to himself and his heirs. He also held the reversion of the third part, annual value 44s. 2d., which Agnes widow of Henry Newelonde holds in dower, except for 6 a., annual value 3s., the reversion of which he granted to Walter for life. The whole is held of the king of the honour of Boulogne by the service of two knight’s fees.

He died on 24 May. John his son and heir was aged 15 years and more on 6 Oct. last .
