Holdings
He was an idiot from birth with insufficient intelligence to administer his lands and tenements. He held half a messuage with courtyard in Ashford of the dean and college of the free chapel of St. Stephen in the palace of Westminster by fealty, suit of court at Ashford every 3 weeks and half a rent of 4s., annual value 3s.4d. It was taken into the hands of Edward III and is still held by the king.
He died on 24 March 1396 . Alexander de Appelford , his brother and next heir, is aged 50 years and more.
