Mapping the Medieval Countryside is a major research project dedicated to making the inquisitions post mortem more widely available and accessible through a digital edition. These pages (see links to the left) describe:

• the documents themselves, their contents and historical value
• the “calendars” in which these documents were summarized and translated, between 1898 and 2010
• how these calendars have been enhanced with supplementary information and markup to create this digital edition
