He was seised in demesne as of fee of an annuity of £13 17s. 8d. taken from the farm of the city of Canterbury, delivered by the bailiffs and citizens. The sum, of which £4 12s. 6½d. is paid at Easter and £9 5s. 1½d at Michaelmas, was his share of the annuity of £30 granted by Edward III to William, son of John Cundy , and his heirs in recompense for the bailiwick of Sandwich, by letters patent dated 1 October 1355 [CPR 1354–1358, p. 326], shown to the jurors. William Isaak was one of William’s kin and heirs, as the son of John Isaak , the son of Agnes, the daughter of Margaret, one of sisters and heirs of William. The annuity of £13 17s. 8d., with the residue of the £30, is held of the king in chief by fealty only, and is truly worth £13. 17s. 8d. yearly.
He died on 20 May 1447. John Isaak, esquire , the son of the above John Isaak , is William’s brother and next heir, aged 25 and more. [Head:] Delivered to court on 26 June.
