Eastham, the manor, held of Anne, daughter and heir of Henry, late duke of Warwick, of the barony of Elmley, as 1/20 knight’s fee. Worcester and Barbourne, 20 messuages, 2 carucates of land, 20 a. meadow, 40 a. pasture, and 40s. rent. The lands and tenements in Worcester are held in socage of the bailiffs and citizens, who hold the whole vill by paying a fee-farm to the king. The lands and tenements in Barbourne are held of John, bishop of Worcester , in socage. All the above are worth 20 marks yearly.
He died on 27 January 1446. Margaret, wife of Humphrey Stafford, of Bishops Frome, esquire, is his daughter and next heir, aged 21 and more. [Head:] Delivered to court on 1 December 1446 [sic].

Long before his death, he was seised in demesne as of fee of the manors of Abnalls and Weeford, of a third part of the manor of Freeford, and of 44 messuages, 8 carucates of land, 50 a. meadow, 200 a. pasture, 100 a. wood, and 100s. rent in Lichfield, Little Curborough, Freeford, Whittington, Edingale, Aldershawe, Horseley , Stychbrook, King’s Bromley, and Elmhurst. By charter dated at Lichfield, 10 June 1421, shown to the jurors, he feoffed therein Thomas de la Mare, Richard Upton , William Hulle, parson of the church of Eastham , and Robert Harper, clerk , and their heirs and assigns. The premises were described as the manors of Abnalls and Weeford, and all his other lands, tenements, rents, and services in the county. Thomas and the others were seised in demesne as of fee. Afterwards Richard and Robert, by writing dated 1 September 1430, shown to the jurors, quitclaimed the premises, described as above, to Thomas and William and their heirs and assigns. Afterwards Thomas and William, by charter dated at Weeford, 8 September 1430, shown to the jurors, feoffed therein William, named in the writ, and Joan, then his wife, and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of William. The premises were described as the manors of Abnalls and Weeford, and all the other lands, tenements, rents, and services in the county, which Thomas de la Mare and William Hulle lately had jointly with Richard Upton and Robert Harper , clerks by grant of William Lichefeld . William and Joan were seised in demesne as of fee tail by form of the grant. William died seised of such estate jointly with Joan, without heir between them. Joan survived and held the premises by right of survivorship, and continued her estate until the day of this inquisition. Abnalls, the manor; Weeford, the manor; Freeford, 1/3 manor; and Lichfield, Little Curborough, Freeford, Whittington, Edingale, Aldershawe, Horseley , Stychbrook, King’s Bromley, and Elmhurst, 44 messuages, 8 carucates of land, 50 a. meadow, 200 a. pasture, 100 a. wood, and 100s. rent., annual value 20 marks, held in chief of the bishop of Coventry and Lichfield , service unknown.

He held no lands or tenements in demesne as of fee or in service of the king in chief or of any other. Edmund Cornewayll, knight , was once seised of the following in demesne as of fee. He granted the moiety to Brian de Cornewayll , his younger son, and the heirs male of his body, so that Brian was seised in demesne as of fee tail. He had issue: John Cornewayll, knight , and died seised of such estate. After his death John entered as son and heir and was seised in demesne as of fee tail by virtue of the grant. He granted the moiety to William, named in the writ, for the term of his life. William entered and was seised in demesne as of free tenement. Afterwards he feoffed therein William Hille, parson of the church of Eastham, and John Halle , and their heirs, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. They afterwards granted the moiety to William Lichefeld and Joan his wife, who survives, and their heirs, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. William Lichefeld died, and John Cornewayll , son of Brian, died without heir male of his body. The moiety ought to revert to Edmund Cornewaill by form of the grant, because [ John ] died without heir male of his body. Edmund is the kin and heir of Edmund Cornewayll, knight , as the son of Lewis, the son of Peter, the son of Edmund knight . This Edmund son of Lewis entered the moiety after the death of John son of Brian, for the preceding reasons, and still continues his possession. Ashton, ½ manor, held of not of the king but of Richard, duke of York [service not specified]. In the moiety there are no houses or messuages, except for a dovecot which is wholly ruinous and worth nothing yearly. There is a carucate of arable, worth 10s. yearly; 8 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 9 a. several pasture, each acre worth 8d. yearly; 23s. assize rent from various lands and tenements of free tenants, payable at Michaelmas and Easter; and an orchard, worth 6s. 8d. yearly.
