Jurors: John Hendesson ; John Motte ; John Ascelyn ; Richard Dixy ; William Halyday ; John Haloun ; William Hoggesson ; Robert Beacham ; Thomas Garlyk ; John Lokyer ; John Clerk ; Roger Roose ; John Caunt ; John Hoggeson ; and John Smyth of Leighton Bromswold.
Long before his death he granted the following to Alexander Farnell , citizen and tailor (cissor) of London, and Richard Bienamour , and their heirs and assigns, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. The charter, dated at Hamerton, 29 February 1436, was shown to the jurors. Afterwards Alexander died. Richard, solely seised of the manor, granted it to John Knyvet, esquire – son of John Knyvet, knight – and Alice his wife, and the heirs of John’s body. John and Alice were, and still are, seised in demesne as of fee in the said form. The charter, dated at Hamerton, 12 May 1446, was shown to the jurors. Hamerton, the manor, annual value £6, held of Robert, late lord Morley , service unknown. Long before his death, he granted the following to the above John and Alice, and the heirs of their bodies. The indented charter, dated at Winwick, 8 August 1430, was shown to the jurors. The grant was on the condition that if for any cause divorce should take place between John and Alice, or if John the son should disagree to the espousals and marriage, then their estate should cease, and the premises should remain to lady Alice Lynne , Richard Caudray, clerk , and William Rothewell , and their heirs and assigns. Winwick, 82 a. land, worth 13s. 8d yearly, each acre worth 2d.; several pasture, worth 6d. yearly; 40s. rent from various free and neif tenants, payable at the four usual terms of Easter, Midsummer, Michaelmas, and Christmas; and rent of 3 capons payable at Christmas, held of Humphrey, duke of Buckingham , by suit to his court at Sawtry once a year.
He died on 9 November last. John Knyvet, esquire , is his son and next heir, aged 34 and more.

Long before his death he granted the following to John Clyfton, knight , John Woodhous, esquire , William Aldevyncle , William Maydewell, clerk , and Thomas Woode, parson of the church of Elsworth, and their heirs and assigns, to hold of the king by the customary services, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. The charter, sealed with the seal of his arms, and dated at Boxworth, 28 October 1426, was shown to the jurors. Afterwards John Woodhous died. The others, who survive, [were] seised of the manor. They demised it to Richard Bienamour , Gilbert Haultoft , Richard Forster , and John Copmyll , and their heirs and assigns, for the term of the life of Richard Bienamour , without impeachment of waste; with remainder to John Knyvet, esquire , son of John named in the writ, and his heirs. Richard and the others were seised as of free tenement in the said form. The indented charter, dated at Boxworth, 31 March 1446, was shown to the jurors. When Richard and the others were in possession, John Knyvet , son and heir of John named in the writ, confirmed the grant to them, and their possession and estate in the manor, by charter dated 2 April 1446, shown to the jurors. Afterwards, Gilbert, Richard, and John, by charter dated 4 April 1446, shown to the jurors, quitclaimed the manor to Richard Bienamour , so that he was solely seised in demesne as of free tenement, and still is seised. Royal letters patent of pardon [not found] have been obtained. Boxworth, the manor, with all appurtenant lands, meadows, pastures, wardships, marriages, reliefs, and escheats, annual value 2 marks, held of the king in chief as 1/20 knight’s fee; and the advowson of the church of Boxworth.

Long before his death he granted the following to John Woodhous, esquire , William Aldewyncle, esquire , William Armeston , John Skot, clerk , and Richard Elleswyk , and their heirs and assigns, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. The charter, sealed with the seal of his arms, and dated at Great Weldon, 24 October 1421, was shown to the jurors. Afterwards John Woodhous and Richard died. William, William, and John Skot demised the manor to John Knyvet – son of John named in the writ – and his heirs, assigns, and executors, from 29 September 1421, for the term of 20 years, paying 10 marks at Easter and Michaelmas to William, William, John and their heirs and assigns. He was in possession of the manor for the said term (ut de termino suo). The indented charter, dated at Aldwincle, 1 October 1445, was shown to the jurors. Afterwards John Skot died. William and William quitclaimed the manor to John Knyvet the son and his heirs and assigns, by charter or quitclaim dated 20 March 1446, and shown to the jurors. By virtue of this John Knyvet, esquire , the son, is solely seised of the manor in demesne as of fee. Royal letters patent of pardon [not found] have been obtained. Great Weldon, the manor, with appurtenances in Little Weldon, Stanion, Rockingham, and Seaton, true annual value £10, held of the king in chief as 2/3 knight’s fee. Long before his death he granted the following to his son John Knyvet , and Alice his wife, and the heirs of their bodies. The indented charter, dated as in 393, was shown to the jurors. The condition of the grant was as in 393. Winwick, the manor, in Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire, with lands, tenements, rents, reversions, and services in the vill of Winwick, some of which lands, tenements, rents, and services are in Huntingdonshire. The manor is held of the abbot of Peterborough , service unknown, and is truly worth £10 yearly.
