In the manor there is a capital messuage, with many buildings, curtilages, gardens, and stanks annexed, worth nothing yearly; a water-mill, worth 5s. yearly; a dovecot, worth 4s. yearly; 2 a. arable, worth 2s. yearly; 100 a. pasture, in a park where wild beasts (<foreign rend="italic" xml:lang="la">bestie</foreign>) are pastured, each acre worth 10d. yearly; 1200 a. wood, lying in <name type="person">the king</name>’s forest called <name type="forest" key="3142105">Neroche</name>, worth nothing yearly, because the trees there cannot be sold (<foreign rend="italic" xml:lang="la">non sunt vendibiles</foreign>); a common pasture in the forest and in a place called ‘<name type="place" subtype="minorName">Westmore</name>’ by the forest, for those dwelling at (<foreign rend="italic" xml:lang="la">pro resident’ apud</foreign>) <name type="place" key="64964">Barrington</name>, worth 8d. yearly; a court, pertaining to the manor, held at various times of the year, of which the perquisites and profits are worth £4 yearly; assize rent of £17 4s. and a rose, from various free tenants, payable at <date>Christmas,</date>
