He was lately seised of the following in demesne as of fee. Birchington, a messuage and 8 a. land, annual value 5s. 4d., held of the prior of Christ Church, Canterbury , service unknown.
He died on 31 October 1442, without heir of his body. The right in the messuage and land reverted to his kin and next heirs [1.] Laurence Haket , the son of John, the son of John, the son of Cecily, the sister of John, the father of John the idiot, aged 26; and [2.] Joan, wife of John Aleyn , the daughter of Ellen, late wife of John Rook , another sister of John, father of John the idiot, aged 30 and more.
