On 6 February 1444 he granted by charter to Thomas Nevyll, knight , Thomas Lumley, knight , William Lumley, esquire , John Ragett , and William Lambert, chaplain , and their heirs and assigns, the castle and manor of Wilton with the manor of Bulmer with Welburn, parcel of the same manor, the manor of Thornton Riseborough, with the park, and all his lands and tenements in Sutton-on-Hull, Southcoates, Stoneferry, Atwick, ?Little Barugh (Litelbergh), Foxholes, Lazenby, ‘West’ Coatham, Lackenby, Boythorpe, and Pinchinthorpe. The above were described as all his lands, tenements, rents, possessions, advowsons of churches, knights’ fees, and reversions in the kingdom of England. Thomas, Thomas, William, John, and William and their heirs and assigns were to carry out the will of Ralph. They were seised in demesne as of fee by virtue of the grant. The castle, manors, lands, and tenements are not held of the king, but of others [services and values not specified].
He died on 5 April last. William Bulmer is his son and next heir, aged 20 and more.
