She once held the following in dower, by endowment of Thomas Brewys, chevalier , her first husband, from the inheritance of Hugh Cokesey, knight , the kin and heir of Thomas as the son of Walter Cokesey , the son of Isabel, the daughter of Agnes, the sister of George, the son of John, the brother of Thomas, the father of Thomas Brewys, chevalier . By charter dated 1 September 1426 Hugh granted the reversion of the manor, among other lands and tenements described in the charter, to the following and their heirs: Philip, late bishop of Ely, and Richard Beauchamp, earl of Warwick , now deceased; and John, earl of Shrewsbury , John Throgmorton , John Vampage , William Wollashull , John Wode , and William Pullesdon , who survive, and to whom the reversion pertains by right of survivorship. In the charter, shown to the jurors, the earl of Shrewsbury was described as John Talbot, chevalier, lord Talbot . Margaret, who then held the manor in dower, attorned herself to all the above and died seised of such estate. On 10 May 1437 Henry VI , by letters patent shown to the jurors [not found], of his special grace and at the request of the community of the realm in the preceding parliament, with the assent of the lords spiritual and temporal, pardoned Hugh Cokesey all grants, alienations, and acquisitions without licence of lands and tenements held in chief, made before 2 September 1431. Tetbury, the manor, true annual value 20 marks, held of the king in chief by knight service, quantity unknown.
