By indenture shown to the jurors he granted to William Wodelond , who survives, an annual rent of 13s. 4d., to be received from all his lands and tenements in Woodland and Puddington at Easter and Michaelmas, until William was promoted to an ecclesiastical benefice, with power to distrain in those lands for arrears in the event of non-payment. He was seised of the following in demesne as of fee. He granted the same – described as all his messuages, lands, tenements, rents, and services in Ernsborough, Collacott, and Furze – to John Dabernon , Thomas Perrot , and Roger Reymour , and their heirs and assigns, by virtue of which they were seised in demesne as of fee. The charter, dated 28 March 1422 at Ernsborough, was shown here to the jurors. Thus seised, they granted the messuages, etc. – described as all their messuages, lands, tenements, rents, and services in Ernsborough, Collacott, and Furze – to John Mulys and his second wife Joan, who survives, and the heirs male of John’s body, with remainder to his right heirs. The indented charter, dated 22 October 1422 at Ernsborough, was shown to the jurors. By virtue of this grant John was seised in demesne as of fee tail and Joan was seised in demesne as of free tenement. Ernsborough, Collacott, and Furze, 2 messuages, 4 carucates of land, 20 a. meadow, 100 a. gorse and heath, and 12s. rent [no other details specified].
He died on 13 September last. His kin and next heirs, who are also the kin and next heirs of Joan his first wife, are: William Gylbert , the son of Alice, one of the daughters of John, aged 7 on 25 March last; Joan Dabernon , the daughter of Isabel, the other daughter of John, aged 9 on 10 September last; and Elizabeth Dabernon , the other daughter of this Isabel, aged 7 on 4 August last.
