Before his death he was seised of the following in demesne as of fee. He granted the two parts by indented charter dated 5 November 1438 to John Gray, vicar of Stannington , Thomas Chartris, chaplain , Thomas de Harbotill , brother of Robert, John de Harbotill , and Thomas de Lomle , and their heirs and assigns. By virtue of this grant they were and still are seised in demesne as of fee. In the charter, shown to the jurors, the premises were described as all his manors, vills, lands, tenements, rents, possessions, reversions, and services in Northumberland. Jesmond, 2/3 of 1/6 manor, with the advowson of the free chapel of the Virgin Mary there, pertaining to the manor, annual value 20s., held of the king in chief, as parcel of the manor of Jesmond, as 1/6 knight’s fee.
He died on 14 November last. Bertram Harbotill is his son and next heir, aged 21 and more.
