She held no lands or tenements in demesne as of fee or in service of the king or of any others. John Trussell, knight , was seised in demesne as of fee of the manor of Gayton with lands, tenements, rents, services, suits of court, wards, marriages, reliefs, heriots, escheats, reversions, and all other appurtenances in Gayton, Northampton, Courteenhall, Milton Malsor , Collingtree, Blisworth, Great Creton, and Flore, annual value £13 6s. 8d., with the advowsons of the churches of Gayton and Great Creton, of no annual value except prayers, held of William de Fynys by knight service. John granted these by charter dated 29 July 1396 to Warin Lucy, Giles Malory , and William Brantyngham , knights, John Harwedon of Heyford, William Horseham , and Thomas Youn, clerk , and their heirs, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. They granted the same by charter dated 13 August 1396 to the said John Trussell and Margaret his wife and their heirs, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. They granted the same by charter dated 29 August 1400 to William Danby , William Papas, chaplain , John Youn of Flore, and Thomas Flore of Gayton, and their heirs, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. They granted the same, by charter dated 3 September 1404, shown to the jurors, to John Trussell and Margaret his wife and their heirs, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. Agnes Trussell – the sister and heir of John Trussell , and daughter of Theobald Trussell, knight , and Katherine his wife, begotten and born at Flore after the marriage of Theobald and Katherine there – by charter, shown to the jurors, dated 8 August 1405, quitclaimed the above, from Agnes and her heirs, to John and Margaret, in perpetuity, with warranty. John Trussell died, and Margaret survived and was solely seised of the above in demesne as of fee by right of survivorship. She granted the above by charter dated 3 September 1426, shown to the jurors, to Edmund Dyve , Edward Mariot, parson of the church of Great Creton, John Jones of Hardingstone, and Robert Aleyn of Blakesley and their heirs, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee. They granted the above by charter dated 1 July 1428 to Margaret – described as Margaret, who was the wife of John Trussell knight – for the term of her life, without impeachment of waste, with remainder to William, lord Zouche and lord Saint Maur , Thomas Grene, knight , John Kyngeley , and James Swetenham , and the heirs and assigns of James. Margaret was seised in demesne as of free tenement, and died seised of such estate. Joan ?Bosum of Harrold, widow, by charter dated 24 October 1436, shown to the jurors, quitclaimed the above to William, lord Zouche , Thomas, John, James, and the heirs and assigns of James, with warranty.
She died on 29 July last. Philippa, the wife of Thomas Kerdeston, knight , and late the wife of Alexander Bosum , is her daughter and next heir, aged 30 and more.
