Thomas Faucomberge, chevalier , was formerly seised in demesne as of fee of the manor of Whitton and, thus seised, he granted it to John Faucomberge, chevalier , his son, and to Joan, wife of John, to hold to them and the heirs of their bodies of Thomas Faucomberge and his heirs, service unknown, with [reversion] to Thomas Faucomberge and his heirs. John and Joan were thus seised of the manor in demesne as of fee tail. John afterwards died seised of this estate without heir of his body of the body of Joan. Thomas Faucomberge survived John his son and afterwards had issue: Joan, wife of William [ Neville, knight ], Lord Fauconberg. Thomas died, and reversion of the manor descended to Joan, wife of William, as daughter and heir of Thomas. Joan, wife of John, continued her estate in the manor, holding in tail without any possibility of issue; and she died seised of this estate, with reversion to Joan, wife of William, and her heirs. Whitton, the manor, held of the king as of the duchy of Lancaster, service unknown. Pattishall, the manor.
