Chiddingfold. In Guildford, there are two watermills, truly worth 50s. yearly, price of
each 25s. yearly; two fulling-mills under one roof, worth 10s. yearly; an acre of
meadow, worth 6d. yearly; and 3 1/2 a. arable, worth 7d. yearly, each acre worth 2d.
yearly. In Stoke, there are 6 a. meadow, worth 6s. yearly, each acre worth 12d. yearly;
and 16 a. arable, worth 2s. 8d. yearly, each acre worth 2d. yearly. There is 108s. 4d.
assize rent taken by the hand of various tenants in Guildford, Stoke, Slyfield Green,
and Chiddingfold, payable at Christmas,
Lady Day,
Midsummer, and Michaelmas equally;
view of frankpledge held yearly at Guildford on the Monday after Martinmas, worth 2s.
6d. yearly; and a court baron, held there every three weeks, worth 12d. yearly above the

stipend. With the exception of 8s.
4d. rent, taken yearly from various lands and tenements in Newdigate and Capel, the manor is
