the inheritance of Edmund son and heir of

Her dower
was allowed from 1/2 manor of Boarstall, a moiety of 20 messuages, 2 bovates, 8
carucates and 40 a. land, 50 a. meadow, 681 a. pasture, 60 a. wood, and £12 5s. 5d. rent
in Oakley, Brill, Boarstall, East Claydon, Botolph Claydon, Middle Claydon, Thomley, and
Ickford, and a moiety of the bailiwick of the forester of Bernwood.
Boarstall, a third
of 1/2 site of the manor with the buildings there, worth nothing yearly; 4 messuages and
one cottage, worth nothing yearly; 2 tofts, worth 3s. yearly; 57 a. arable, each acre
worth 2d. yearly; and a close called ‘Lacchemede’, containing 65 a. pasture, each acre
worth 2d. yearly; and Boarstall, East Claydon, and Ickford, 5s. 9d. service rent,
payable by various tenants there at Michaelmas and Easter equally. The close called
‘Lacchemede’ is held of the king
by rendering 16s. 3d. yearly on the morrow of
Michaelmas for all services. Nothing else is held of the king
, but of whom and by what
service is unknown.
Bernwood, a third of 1/2 bailiwick of the forester, worth nothing
yearly, held of the king
by keeping that part of the forest and rendering 6s. 8d. yearly
to the king.
She held the following for life from the inheritance of Edmund son of
Edmund by grant of

life, with successive remainders to Maud for life; and to

wife, and the heirs of their bodies together. The grant was made by a fine levied at
Westminster on the octave of Martinmas 1427 [CP 25/1/292/66, no. 71], shown to the
jurors.
Addingrove, 1/2 manor. There are 30 a. arable, each acre worth 1d. yearly; and
80 a. pasture, each acre worth 2d. yearly. It is not held of the king

by what service, unknown.
Oakley, 1/2 manor, held of the king
as of his honour of
Wallingford by suit at the honorial court once yearly, viz., at the court next after
Michaelmas, for all services. There are 2 messuages, worth nothing yearly; 100 a.
arable, each acre worth 1d. yearly; 10 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d. yearly; and 10 a.
pasture, each acre worth 2d. yearly.
She died on 5 August last. Edmund son of Edmund is
