He granted them to Hugh Cary , William Clyue , William Dodysham , Walter Hascheford , John Taberer , and John Boryette , and to their heirs and assigns. The grant was made by charter dated at Blackmoor on 26 June 1420 in which he was described as John Kenne of Blackmoor, and the lands and tenements were described as all his lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, common rents, reversions, and services in Hewish in the parish of Yatton in the hundred of Kingsbury, in Rolstone in the parish and hundred of Banwell, in Wrington, in Burnham, Berrow, Brean, and Brent Knoll in the vill and in the lordship of Glastonbury. The charter was shown to the jurors. Hugh, William etc. [as above] were thus seised in demesne as of fee. Hugh Cary afterwards died, and William, William, Walter, John Taberer , and John Boryette continued in their estate by right of survivorship. They demised the lands and tenements to Richard Gosse and William Bodenham, rector of Kingston Seymour , both still living, and to their heirs and assigns. The grant was made by charter dated at Bridgwater on 27 January 1438, in which the lands and tenements were described as all their lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, common rents, reversions, and services in Burnham, Berrow, Brean, and Brent Knoll , in Rolstone in the parish and hundred of Banwell, in Wrington, Hewish, and in the vill and lordship of Glastonbury. Richard and William were thus seised in demesne as of fee and are yet so seised.

Haresfield and Hardwicke, 50 a. arable, each acre worth 5d. yearly, and 6 a. meadow, each acre worth 2s. yearly, annual value 32s. 10d., held of the abbot of St Peter ’s, Gloucester , and Giles Brugge , service unknown. Hardwicke, 24 a. pasture, annual value 12s., held of Thomas Derehurst , service unknown. He took 6s. 8d. silver in service from a croft, called ‘Pesecroft’, that John Trye holds in fee by the said service.
