manorial site, worth nothing yearly; 80 a. land, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 10 a.
meadow, each acre worth 8d. yearly; a great waste where the tenants of the vills of
Grimston and Wellow have year-round common pasture for their animals, worth 40d. yearly;
a park, worth nothing yearly above enclosure and the keeper’s fee; 60s. assize rent,
payable at Pentecost and Martinmas equally; a market held weekly on Fridays; a fair held
yearly on the feast of St Swithun the Bishop; and view of frankpledge held twice yearly,
once after Easter and once after Michaelmas. The market, fair, and view of frankpledge
are worth nothing yearly after the fees of the steward and bailiff. They demised the
manor, described as their manor of Grimston and the vill of Wellow, among other things,
