She died seised of the following in demesne as of fee. Dyrham, 1/2 a. land, annual value 1d., held of the king in chief as a hundredth part of 1/2 knight’s fee. By a fine levied on the octave of Candlemas 1412 [CP 25/1/79/85, no. 53], between Maurice Russell, knight , Thomas Elwell, clerk , and William White, clerk, querents , and John Drayton and Isabel then his wife, deforciants, John Drayton and Isabel recognised, among other things, that the manor of Tormarton belonged by right to Maurice, as that which Maurice, Thomas and William then had by grant of John and Isabel. By this fine, Maurice, Thomas and William then granted the manor to John and Isabel to hold of them and the heirs of Maurice for Isabel’s lifetime, reversion after her death wholly to Maurice, Thomas and William and the heirs of Maurice, as fully appears in the fine, shown to the jurors. By virtue of this fine, John Drayton and Isabel were seised, and afterwards, by an indented deed of theirs dated at Dyrham on 1 May 1412, shown to the jurors, Maurice, Thomas and William granted, among other things, the remainder of the manor, which should have reverted to them and the heirs of Maurice after Isabel’s death, to Maurice de la Ryver , son and heir of Thomas de la Ryver, chevalier , and the heirs of his body, as fully appears in the deed. By virtue of this, both John Drayton and Isabel and all other tenants of the manor attorned to Maurice de la Ryver , and they severally delivered 1d. to him in place of this attornment. Tormarton, the manor, extending into Tormarton, West Littleton and Shirehill, annual value 20 marks, not held of the king but of Thomas Beaumond, knight , as of his manor of Yate, service unknown.
She died on 9 May last. Maurice de la Ryver , her son and next heir, is aged 30 years and more.
