He held the following in demesne as of fee. St Giles parish in the ward of Cripplegate, in the suburbs of London, a brew-house tenement called ‘le Swanne’ and 9 cottages, annual value 4 marks, held of the king in free burgage as all the city is held.
He died on 27 December 1432. Adrian Grome , his son and next heir, was aged 23 years and more when his father died.
By right of inheritance, Adrian entered into the tenement and cottages, occupying them and taking the profits from the time of his father’s death until 20 December 1435. From that date John Worshop , citizen and ‘peyntour’ of London, has occupied them and taken the profits, and still does so, by reason of a deed of enfeoffment from Adrian, shown to the jurors, dated at London on 15 March 1434.
