William Paston , one of the king’s justices, and Thomas Bosewyle, parson of Snetterton , were seised of the following, which, by a charter dated at Long Stratton on 10 April 1434, shown to the jurors, they demised to Robert Harlyng, knight , John Fastolf, knight , John Fastolf of Oulton, Edmund Wichyngham , John Kyrtelyng, clerk , and John Intewode and their heirs. By virtue of this grant, the grantees were seised; they continued to be so for the whole of Robert’s life; and Robert died thus seised. John, John, Edmund, John and John, still living, remain in possession. Stratton, the manor called ‘Wellehames’, held of Henry Inglose, knight , service unknown. There are 100 a. land, the true value of each acre being 4d. yearly; 6 a. pasture, each acre worth 6d. yearly; 4 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 10s. rent, payable at Easter and Michaelmas in equal parts; and a court baron held every 3 weeks which, together with view of frankpledge, worth 40d. yearly. Stratton, Tharston, Hapton, Tasburgh and Morningthorpe, 20 a. land, each acre worth 3d. yearly, held as above. He held the following in demesne as of fee. Morningthorpe, a close, containing 80 a. pasture, each acre worth 6d. yearly, held of William, earl of Suffolk , as of his manor of Saxlingham as 1/4 knight’s fee.
