She held the following in dower by endowment of John Chidyok, knight , her husband, of the inheritance of John Chydyok his son, reversion to the latter and his heirs. Westbury, 1/3 of 1/4 manor, held of the king by knight service. GLOUCESTERSHIRE AND THE ADJACENT MARCH OF WALES. Inquisition. Cirencester. 25 January 1434. [Andrewe].

She held no lands or tenements in her demesne as of fee, in demesne or service. She held the following in dower as in 228, with John Chydyok the son here styled knight. Clifton, 1/3 of 1/3 manor, held of Richard, earl of Warwick , and Isabel his wife in her right of the honour of Gloucester, service unknown. In her 1/3 there are 2 tofts and a kiln (‘kylne’), worth nothing yearly; 40 a. arable, each acre worth 6d. yearly; 2 a. meadow, each acre worth 16d. yearly; 30 a. hill pasture, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 3 a. wood, worth nothing yearly; and 16s. 4d. assize rent, by the hands of the tenants at Michaelmas and Easter. By a fine levied at Westminster on the quindene of St John the Baptist 1425 [CP 25/1/291/65, no. 45], between Henry Blakemore, clerk , William Payn , John Neburgh , John Storke and John Cheuerell, querents , and Ralph Busshe, esquire , and Eleanor his wife and named in the writ, and John Cheydyok, knight , then esquire and described as such, son of John Chydyok, knight, deforciants , the querents granted the manor of Frampton on Severn to Ralph and Eleanor for her life, remainder to John Chydyok, knight , the son, and his heirs, as is clear more fully in one part of the fine shown to the jurors. Ralph and Eleanor were seised in their demesne as of free tenement and she died seised of this estate. Frampton on Severn. The manor is held of the duke of York , earl of March , service unknown. In the manor there are 80 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 43 a. meadow, each acre worth 2s. 6d. yearly; 160 a. pasture, each acre worth 2d. yearly; and £12 assize rent, by the hands of tenants at Michaelmas and Easter.

She died on 1 December last. John Chydyok, knight , son of John Chydyok, knight , is her son and next heir, aged 30 years and more.

She held 1/3 manor of Buckham in dower as in 229, of the bishop of Salisbury , service unknown. In the 1/3 there is 1/3 old chapel, 1/3 cattle-shed, 1/3 bercary and 1/3 barton, worth nothing yearly; 30 a. arable, each acre worth 3d. yearly; 10 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 100 a. hill pasture for sheep, each acre worth 1d. yearly; pasture for 6 cows, worth 3s. yearly; 3 a. marsh with alder, worth nothing yearly; and 3s. assize rent from a watermill, at Michaelmas, Christmas, Easter and Midsummer, by the hands of Nicholas Mylward , who holds the mill for life by demise of John Chydyok, knight , the father, reversion to John Chydyok, knight , the son, and his heirs. The manor of East Chelborough was granted to Ralph and Eleanor by a fine as in 229; she died seised of that estate and the manor now remains to John Chydyok, knight , the son. East Chelborough. The manor is held of the king in chief by knight service. In the manor there is a chapel, hall with 2 chambers, cook-house, stable, grange, cattle-shed, barton and 12 other small messuages, worth nothing yearly; 100 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 12 a. meadow, each acre worth 20d. yearly; 200 a. pasture, each acre worth 10d. yearly; and 30 a. wood, worth nothing yearly. By a fine levied in the court at Bridport on 23 April 1425, according to the customs of the vill from time out of mind, before John Proute and William Hore, bailiffs of the vill, Roger Broun , Simon atte Forde , William Marchall and John Sore, burgesses of the vill, and others, between the same parties to the fine in 229, the deforciants, examined in open court according to the custom, recognised 20 messuages, 4 tofts, 2 watermills and 20 curtilages in Bridport to be the right of Henry, as in 229, and the querents therefore granted the same to Eleanor for life, remainder to John Chydyok, knight , the son, and his heirs, as is clear more fully in one part of the fine shown to the jurors. Eleanor died seised in her demesne as of free tenement. Bridport, 20 messuages, worth 50s. yearly, 4 tofts, worth nothing yearly, 2 watermills, worth 40s. yearly, and 20 curtilages, worth 10s. yearly, not held of the king , but of whom or by what service is unknown.

In the manor there is the capital messuage, worth nothing yearly; a watermill, worth 13s. 4d. yearly; 28 messuages and 28 virgates of land, each messuage and a virgate worth 6s. yearly; 100 a. arable demesne, each acre worth 6d. yearly; 25 a. meadow, each acre worth 2s. yearly; £4 assize rent, by the hands of tenants at Christmas, Easter, Midsummer and Michaelmas equally; and 1lb. cumin and a lb. cumin and rose at Midsummer as rent from 2 tenements of 2 free tenants.
