Tickencote, the manor, in which there is a hall with two attached chambers, a chapel, cook-house, bake-house, long chamber, 2 granges, a stable and dovecot, worth nothing yearly; 3 closes, each worth 40d. yearly; 40 a. wood, worth nothing yearly; 24 virgates of land, each virgate worth 6s. yearly, at the same four terms; 400 a. pasture, each acre worth 1/2d. yearly; 40 a. meadow, each acre worth 20d. yearly; two views of frankpledge, held within a month after Easter and a month after Michaelmas, worth 2s. yearly; and a court baron every three weeks, worth 6d. yearly.
The Chancery copy appears to have a superscript insertion between CCCC and acre but it is illegible; the Exchequer copy has CCCC only.
He died on 3 August last. Robert Daneys is his son and next heir, aged 23 years and more.
Chancery copy: ‘Monday after the feast of St Peter in Chains last’. Exchequer copy: in the annotation at its foot, reference is made for accounting purposes to his death on ‘2 August 12 ‪ Henry VI ’, also the Monday after the feast of St Peter in Chains, but in 1434. A cross is in the margin by the Exchequer annotation.
