, and the heirs of their bodies, and to the right heirs of Henry, as is clear in the charter, royal licence first obtained [CPR 1408–13, p. 72]. William died without heir by Maud; identity of Henry’s next heir unknown.
Adderbury: the 1/4 manor is held of the king
in chief by service of a knight’s fee.
In the 1/4, there is the site with house, worth 12d. yearly; 200 a. land, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 12 a. meadow, each acre worth 7d. yearly; and 3 free tenants, one paying 1/2 d. yearly, the second a pair of gloves worth 1d. and the third 6d. at Michaelmas.
She died on 7 August last. Identity of next heir unknown.
