By his deed shown in evidence to the jurors he granted these – described as 30s. annual rent in <name type="place" key="153944">Carlton in Lindrick</name> from free tenants there with his whole lordship there in wardships, marriages, reliefs, escheats and suit to the three-weekly court from these tenants, fines for offences against the assizes of bread and ale, and all other services of the tenants, and other approvements in and beyond the vill belonging to the 30s. rent and whole lordship, both in watermills, wastes, heaths, moors, marshes, lands, meadows and pasture, and in all other appurtenances without any reservation – to <name type="person" role="grantee">
