She and John Stone lately her husband, in her right, were lately seised of the following in their demesne, John as of free tenement and Edith as of fee. By a fine levied on the octave of St John the Baptist 1423 [CP 25/1/291/65, no. 36] between John, bishop of Bath and Wells , described as John Stafford, clerk , and Richard Mayn of Keevil, querents , and John Stone and Edith, deforciants , regarding this tenement and office and other tenements contained in the fine, the deforciants remised and quitclaimed the tenement and office for themselves and Edith’s heirs to John Stafford and Richard and Richard’s heirs. John and Richard were seised, and granted the tenement and office to Edith to hold to herself and her heirs, the tenement of the chief lords of those fees and the office of the king, by the services due and customary of right, reversion to John Stafford and Richard and Richard’s heirs. Edith died seised without heir of her body and the tenement and office revert to John Stafford and Richard Mayn and Richard’s heirs. Great Wishford and Stoford, 8 messuages, 3 tofts, 100 a. land, 10 a. meadow, 100 a. pasture and 10 a. wood. She held a carucate of land of this tenement of the abbess of Wilton , service unknown, and the rest of the prior of Maiden Bradley , service unknown. Groveley Wood, the office of forester, held of the king in chief by knight service. The tenement and office are worth 20s. yearly.
She died on 1 March 1433. Hugh Moleyn is her kinsman and next heir as son of John, son of Agnes, sister of Edith, aged 2 years and more.
