[1]+ John Hals and John Halle were seised in demesne as of fee of the following and granted it to Reynold Kentwode, clerk , Robert Andrewe , John Vampage , and John Hody and to their heirs and assigns in perpetuity. They were thus seised in demesne as of fee and every tenant attorned to them. William afterwards quitclaimed to Reynold, Robert, John, and John, and to their heirs, for him and his heirs in perpetuity, all right and claim that he had in the same and bound him and his heirs to guarantee it against all men. The quitclaim was made by enrolled deed, shown to the jurors.+[1] Birling, the manor, annual value £20. Of whom it is held is unknown. John Baker and John Gybbes were seised of the following in demesne as of fee. They enfeoffed Robert Andrewe, esquire , John Vampage , and William Donyngton , and their heirs and assigns in perpetuity. William afterwards quitclaimed to Robert, John, and William, and to their heirs, for him and his heirs in perpetuity, all right and claim that he had in the same and bound him and his heirs to guarantee it against all men. The quitclaim was made by deed, shown to the jurors. Folkestone, the manor, annual value £40. Of whom it is held is unknown. Long before his death, he granted it to Richard Bechampe, earl of Warwick , John Stafford, clerk , Edmund Ferrers, lord of Chartley , William Wynard , William Halle , and to others now deceased, and to their heirs in perpetuity. They were thus seised in demesne as of fee, and continued to be so seised until the day of this inquisition.

The bishop, earl, Edmund etc. afterwards demised, among other things, the above castle, lordship, lands, tenements, rents, reversions, and services to William de Clynton to have and occupy at the will of the bishop, earl, Edmund etc., and William died possessed of this estate and no other. After his death, the bishop, earl, Edmund etc. entered the above and are peaceably seised of the same.
