He was seised of the following in demesne as of fee long before his death. Lower Heyford, the manor, true annual value £8, held of Joan, queen of England, as of her manor of Woodstock, service unknown. He granted the manor, by charter shown to the jurors, to William his first-born son and Katherine his wife, both now deceased, and to the heirs of their bodies. They were seised of the manor and died so seised with issue: Thomas, still living.
He died on 19 July last. Thomas de la Mare son of William son of Robert and Katherine is his kin and next heir, and aged 4 and more.[Head:] Received on 10 November.

He was lately seised of the following in demesne as of fee. Aldermaston, the manor, annual value 40 marks. Long before his death, he granted it to William Brocas and John Golafre , and to their heirs in perpetuity. The grant was made by charter dated Aldermaston 12 February 1408 in which he was described as Robert de la Mare, lord of Aldermaston . William and John were thus seised of the manor. They are still so seised and take the issues. Henry V afterwards pardoned William and John by various letters patent for all gifts, alienations, and purchases of lands and tenements held in chief of Henry or his ancestors. William was described in the letters as William Brocas of Hampshire, esquire , and John Golafre was described as John Golafre, esquire . The letters patent were shown to the jurors. He held the following to him and the heirs of his body by grant of Robert Achard, knight . Sparsholt, the manor. There is the manorial site and buildings, worth nothing yearly; 240 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 50 a. meadow, each acre worth 2s. yearly; 300 a. pasture, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 2 a. wood, each acre worth 20s. when cut every twenty years, but worth nothing this year because cut last year and its underwood is worth nothing yearly above enclosure; £6 rent, payable at Easter and Michaelmas by equal parts; and pleas and perquisites of court, worth 13s. 4d. yearly. The manors of Aldermaston and Sparsholt are held of the king in chief as a knight’s fee. He held the following to him and the heirs of his body by grant of Thomas de la Mare, knight . Sparsholt, a tenement called Eastmanton. There are 60 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 10 a. meadow, each acre worth 2s. yearly; 100 a. pasture, each acre worth 2d. yearly; and 40s. rent, payable at Easter and Michaelmas by equal parts. The tenement is not held of the king but of the lord of Wantage as of that manor, and of others, service unknown.
